A NY native, she came to Philadelphia to attend Temple University while seeking a master’s in special education. Shortly following obtaining her Masters, Gina went on to obtain certifications in Cognitive Behavior Therapy from PCOM, and Trauma Therapy from Chestnut Hill College. Gina holds dual certifications in Special Education and Special Education Leadership. She has dedicated over 20 years to Community Council, and over 15 years in leadership. Her unique balance of expertise, curiosity and perspective has aided in the development and customization of several specialized programs supporting students with exceptionalities. Always the teacher at heart, Gina has partnered with IIRP (Institute for Restorative Practices), where she has provided trainings to school staff and school leadership throughout the country for over the past 10 years. Most recently, Gina received an additional certificate in Sustainable Strategy and Disruptive Strategy through Harvard Business Online School. While her work gives her a great deal of joy, fundraising for programmatic and community causes is the most rewarding. It is fortunate that her passion and zest for fundraising has been cultivated through her active engagement in community services events as a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. However, above all, her proudest achievement, is being a mom to two teenagers and being able to apply what she has learned in their upbringing.
