Billing Specialist
 
Overview
This position is responsible for all functions related to the recovery of funds and claims reconciliation. These functions include reconciliation of unpaid claims, unpaid services, insurance and client billing, payment processing, insurance follow-up, and verification of insurance coverage. This position works closely with other Account Managers, Authorization Liaison, Billing Manager, and all other persons pertinent to the recovery of funds to coordinate the activities of the Department with those of the Agency and other State of Pennsylvania governmental entities. Job Status: Full Time
 
Requirements
High School/GED required. College degree preferred; Must have experience and knowledge of utilization processes within a health care setting and at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience; Ability to complete documentation as required by Agency standards. Work requires an extensive knowledge of business and an excellent command of the English language; Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook among others. Familiar with processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software; In addition, this individual will have the ability and be responsible for providing training to program managers and on behalf of the agency attend meetings at funding sources offices. Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, problem solve and prioritize work.

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES
The Children's Central Intake Unit is the gateway into our programs serving children between the ages of 3-17. The intake process begins with referrals via telephone or face-to-face contact and is accomplished by a comprehensive initial evaluation. Consumers and families are then referred to an appropriate service within the agency or to an outside agency.
The Adult Intake Unit is the entry point into adult outpatient services where an initial intake assessment is performed and followed with an evaluation provided by Masters level clinicians and licensed psychiatrists respectively. Adults can also be admitted into various programs by referral from DBH or CBH.
The Educational Services Division's Mission is to provide a safe and structured educational environment where children and adolescents can be nurtured. We bring passion and commitment to the children in our care and understand and appreciate their differences and challenges. We recognize the "diamond in the rough" and seek to resuscitate the resilient spirit within.
