The Children's Central Intake Unit is the gateway into our programs serving children between the ages of 3-17. The intake process begins with referrals via telephone or face-to-face contact and is accomplished by a comprehensive initial evaluation. Consumers and families are then referred to an appropriate service within the agency or to an outside agency.
The Adult Intake Unit is the entry point into adult outpatient services where an initial intake assessment is performed and followed with an evaluation provided by Masters level clinicians and licensed psychiatrists respectively. Adults can also be admitted into various programs by referral from DBH or CBH.
The Educational Services Division's Mission is to provide a safe and structured educational environment where children and adolescents can be nurtured. We bring passion and commitment to the children in our care and understand and appreciate their differences and challenges. We recognize the "diamond in the rough" and seek to resuscitate the resilient spirit within.

Community Council Health Systems (CCHS) believes that everyone deserves the  opportunity to  develop in a treatment process that best supports their physical, mental, and social well-being.

We encourage all of our participants—both children and adults—to take an active role in their care. During treatment, our staff works with each individual to help them develop a personalized course of action that will help them achieve their goals.  Working together in a positive, supportive environment, we create a wellness program that promotes continual growth and development for each individual. Our staff then supports participants on an ongoing basis in a manner that suits their treatment plan.

All of our treatment is delivered according to these foundational principles:

1.           Safety First – Creating a safe environment for each individual is central to our therapeutic approach. We work with individuals and their families to identify and eliminate risk factors so we can create a positive platform that engages participants in promoting their wellness.

2.        Strengths-based Approach – All participants possess personal, family, and social strengths.  We work with each individual to enhance and develop these strengths. This promotes shared decision-making, which will give participants ownership in the healing and life maintenance process.

3.            Resiliency and Recovery Orientation – Our comprehensive approach is driven by recovery-oriented assessment and service planning. We incorporate community resources, social support, monitoring services, and effective decision making to create the desired personal outcomes for each participant.

By using these foundational principles, CCHS:

A.     Provides integrated services

B.     Creates an atmosphere that promotes strength, recovery, and resilience

C.     Develops a collaborative service approach

D.     Provides individualized services that identify and address barriers to wellness

E.      Achieves successful outcomes through empirically informed approaches

F.      Promotes recovery and resilience through evaluation and quality improvement process
